Face, finish and proportion.

01 / Face & patternFace and openings.
The basketweave carries detail right across the face. Fine intersecting lines create small, regular openings, giving the wheel a different character close up and from across the road. The continuous outer framing stops the mesh from becoming visually loose.
02 / On the carWith the bodywork.
Mesh has a close relationship with older performance cars, but it can also bring texture to a newer, cleaner body shape. A restrained exterior gives the pattern room to stand out. For a lowered build, compare the apparent width of the face with the depth of the arch.
03 / Finish & detailFinish and light.
Chrome separates the fine lines with strong highlights. A darker face would put more emphasis on the outline and outer rim. With intricate patterns, it helps to compare a full-car view alongside a close-up rather than choosing from the wheel alone.
