Face, finish and proportion.

01 / Face & patternFace and openings.
Five broad spokes create a recognisable star with large, rounded spaces between them. There is little visual clutter around the centre. The balance comes from the width of the spokes and the shape of their edges as they meet the rim.
02 / On the carWith the bodywork.
An open five-spoke keeps the wheel pattern simple. On a low street car, the simple face puts attention on proportion and stance. On a track-influenced car, the same openness makes the brakes, tyre and wheel position a stronger part of the view.
03 / Finish & detailFinish and light.
Polished chrome brings out the broad spoke surfaces. A darker face would be more subdued, especially against a dark brake assembly. Look at how the spoke highlights relate to the car’s trim and body creases before choosing a finish direction.
