Face, finish and proportion.

01 / Face & patternFace and openings.
Ten roots branch into twenty arms as they approach the rim. The openings stay larger than a dense basketweave, so the face has both fine detail and a clear view through it. The branching points are a useful detail to compare up close.
02 / On the carWith the bodywork.
This is a more open take on mesh for a car that needs detail without a full disc-like presence. It can sit comfortably in either a low show-car direction or a more purposeful road-car setup. The body shape and tyre profile will do more to define that mood than the pattern alone.
03 / Finish & detailFinish and light.
Chrome picks out each branch and gives the pattern a fine, bright outline. Graphite would draw attention towards the spaces between the arms. When comparing tones, include the visible brake assembly: it becomes part of the composition through the open face.
